The successful candidate is expected, in the case interested on CMB physics, to integrate the Planck group in Grenoble and work on the Planck data analysis and interpretation within the HFI DPC. He/she will contribute to the main group tasks including Time Ordered Information processing, study and removal of systematics, CMB and foreground polarization measurements and the characterization of the diffuse Sunayev-Zeldovich emission. The candidate is expected, in the case interested on directional detection, to participate in the MIMAC project. The project is led by the LPSC Grenoble, in collaboration with several laboratories (CEA Saclay, IRSN Cadarache, ILL Grenoble). He/she will take part to the underground installation of the first MIMAC prototype at the Modane laboratory (LSM, 130 km from Grenoble) in preparation of the 1 m^3 phase. The activities related to this project include micro-tpc detector optimization as well as data analysis (3D tracks, head-tail, background rejection), simulation (Geant 4, MCNP) , instrumentation (quenching factor measurement, track optimization, prototype design, shielding) and phenomenological studies (galactic halo of dark matter, Physics beyond the Standard Model). Experience in any of the previous subjects will be valuable but not required. A detailed curriculum vitae, reference letters and the list of publications should be sent to :
